Is anyone else excited about this???? I AM! This is my absolute favorite time of the year! Besides the 10 pounds I gain, what's not to like?
Today I sat down and started to plan our thanksgiving day dinner. Which by the way will be consisting of our entire family at our little apartment. So anyways planning... it's what I do. I'm thinking the obvious usuals; turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and stuffing. Then finish it all off with pumpkin and apple pie. I really want to pull this off and wow my family, so any suggestions for other food?
Now onto decor! What center piece should I make? What dishes to use? Should I do an ice breaker or little favors? Any input? lol ill let you know how it goes!

Oh so much...
I have literally been so busy that I am exhausted! I told the Mr. I wanted to spend some time with him and not fall asleep. Poor guy!
I went from working part-time 2 days a week, to full-time only getting 1 full day off each week. It's grueling, but the bills will be paid! I feel for my husband; I'm not there with him often and it's beginning to take a toll on him. I just keep telling myself it's only for a season and it will pass.
On that note... My "season" of being a "Rowe" has officially come to an end! The name change process is in full swing; just the DMV to go. It has taken us a little longer than necessary, due to the state of California not accepting our marriage license until mid October! Crazy! All is said and done now PTL!
On a lighter note... I picked up crocheting again! So relaxing and a nice cheap craft. I'm currently making a hat and beginning a tree skirt. (CAN'T WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS!!!)
Ok so there's a little update on life. Nothing serious, just life.
Have a blessed day!

Retreats...
I have been completely exhausted and felt like bologna the past few days. I have not felt like doing anything at all, but sleep! Bleh! To answer everyone's first question: no I am not pregnant. Geesh!
So enough about me! Today's little tip is one that everyone hears or knows but I'm sure rarely practices! As the Mr. and I began looking at the calendar for the next year and all the things we want to do and be apart of, we realized the church retreats are going to take a large part of our budgets! (Young adults, women's, couple's, Men's and any ones added in) so we decided to make it a continues habit to put $20-$30 in my old school piggy bank each payday! Don't worry, old school piggy bank is not so old that he will need to die to get the contents out.
With this habit we are hoping each time a retreat sign up is announced there will be enough in there to allow us to participate! Any other suggestions? Ideas for budgeting?
Also I thought I'd share a few meals I made this week:
Honey lime shrimp w/ rice (delicious)
Stuffed crescent rolls (filling!)
Chicken tacos! (Yum)
An chicken broccoli alfredo
All of these were deliciously cheap! If you'd like the actual recipe let me know. As I said before I haven't felt well so Im not up to typing it all out right now. Have a blessed day!

Our love languages
Ive been married for a mere 2 weeks, but in these 2 weeks the Lord has truly been opening my eyes and speaking to me. Today the "5 love languages" comes to mind. We are often told as a couple to learn our spouses love languages so that we can love them as they need to be loved. I have an addendum to this. (Story time)
Last night the Mr. texted to let me know he left the carport open for me to park in (there is seriously limited parking at our complex.). I simply said ok. Then later today he proceeded to ask me "how'd you like parking in the carport?," with a bit more excitement then I thought necessary. Again I said ok. As he left for work and I began to think I realized him parking elsewhere so that I could park close to the apartment (and not requiring me to walk far alone when leaving for work at 930pm) was him "speaking" his love language. He was being protective, and giving up something he's used for 2 years now! He was "saying" I love you both times he brought up the carport!
So I suggest we learn our spouses "love languages" not only so we can speak it, but so we can realize when they are saying "I love you."

Time apart
So today begins our journey back to work. Mr. will be working swing shift, while I will be working graveyard. Not too excited about this since by the time I get off in the morning I'm exhausted an usually pass out.
Rather than continuing to focus on the negative, I put my crafty brain to work (with a few Pinterest searches). I came up with this nifty little notebook!
I chose to put a picture of our wedding day on the cover. Why? To remind us of the love we began with and the commitment we chose to make to each other and God! Inside will be love notes, prayers, and anything we want to share with each other as we are "two ships passing in the wind."

Blogger IPhone App?
I no longer have a working computer since moving in with my hubby, so my phone is my only Internet access. I found the Blogger app to only have 2.5 stars and many negative comments typed in the review section.
So my question is: do you like it? Do you use it?

WAY TO LONG
Oh wow how lazy/busy have I been!!! I started this and then completely neglected to post! So lame!
Well I am now officially Mrs.BRighteous! Went on our gorgeous honeymoon to the Caribbean! (Highly recommended) and now to get settled!
Today's question: WHERE DOES EVERYTHING GO IN A 1 BEDROOM APARTMENT?!?!
Oh man! All my stuff, all his stuff, and then through in all the gifts we were blessed with and I am going crazy! I am a complete neat freak and can't stand disorganization! So until I map everything out, boxes remain :(

Inside dogs or outside dogs
My fiancé and I recently adopted a 3 year old Chiweenie, Roxy. He has never had a dog in his life, me on the other hand have grown up with no less then 3 dogs in the home at any given time (currently 5 at my parents home).
So the discussion on the table today is whether or not to allow Roxy to stay inside when we are not home. Why was this brought up? Well I returned home from work this morning to find my parents 8 year old Akita mix had had diarrhea while being left in the house for the night! (gag! gross!!!!)
So we began discussing and believe we decided our patio/balcony area will be quite cozy with a dog house!
Here's to Roxy's new OUTSIDE house!
55 days until its official!
My worlds been turned upside down and right side up, oh about 30 times over. As of right now, I'm right side up and forward on we push! So in 55 days this site will actually be correct, I will be Mrs.BRighteous AKA Robin Mitchell. (Who's BRighteous? My amazing fiancé who also is apart of a rap group known as BrothersBelieving: http://m.facebook.com/pages/Brothers-Believing/154853467877578?id=154853467877578&refsrc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsearch&_rdr
He means the world to me and I can not wait to walk down that isle and meet him at the altar.)
With 55 days left my stress level is through the roof! But as I stated before we push on forward! Why am I stressed, you ask? What needs to be done? Well to answer you... I am not sure why or what!
Everything seems to be done! I mean yea there's little things here and there, but nothing major. I am planning my own bridal shower, (if at all avoidable, do avoid!) but even that is done. I really can't think of any major things to work on!
So maybe I am just a crazy perfectionist! Or I feel like I always need to be doing something.... Yea that's definitely it!!!
Since the wedding is planned, I have now set my eyes on redecorating the apartment he currently lives in (and I will move into). He sees no need to have furniture lol. When I first came around the tv stand was the microwave box! (Since then I have purchased a stand.)
Now I am mainly focusing on our black and white themed bedroom. Since i am not the bread winner, and cant really purchase furniture on a win, I've settled for decorations!
We purchased a vinyl decal that states "I am my Beloved's, and he is mine. Song of Solomon 6:3" I am truly in love with that verse (second to Mark 10:9 but that's another post for another day!) Just the belief that after marriage we no longer belong to ourselves but to each other! Love!
Anyways, I don't want to just put the vinyl on the wall and lose it when we move so I've decide to frame it! Its a large decal, so thankfully I had an old mint green frame laying around and plenty of black paint to spare! Painted the frame, put the decal on the glass, and hang over the bed! Perfection!
In Him we love! Here's the store I purchased the vinyl at.
